She began her career as a farmer and has since participated in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, co-founded the Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project, and contributed critical research to understanding the connection between climate and food. She is now a Senior Research Scientist and head of the Climate Impacts Group at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), part of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and an Adjunct Senior Scientist at the Columbia University Climate School. #FoodPrize22
