Steven Leath
President, Iowa State University
Dr. Steven Leath became the 15th president of Iowa State University in January 2012. His dynamic agenda is raising the university’s profile as one of the top land-grant and AAU institutions in the country. Dr. Leath has led Iowa State to new records in enrollment, diversity, research funding, and fundraising, as well as significant contributions in scholarship and economic activity.
A member of the Council of Presidents of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities and the Future 2050 Food Security Commission, Dr. Leath also serves on the World Food Prize Council of Advisors, the Qassim University International Advisory Board, and is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
