Cynthia Hardin Milligan

Dean Emeritus, College of Business Administration, University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Ms. Cynthia Hardin Milligan is Dean Emeritus of the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and President and CEO of Wood Stieper Capital Group. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Kellogg Company, Wells Fargo and Company, Gallup, Calvert Funds and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. 

Ms. Milligan received her B.A. degree in French from the University of Kansas and her J.D. from George Washington University, both with honors. She first practiced law with a large law firm in Washington D.C. before becoming a senior partner in a law firm in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1981. 

In addition to her law career, she has served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law College and an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska College of Law in the areas of taxation and banking law. Milligan also served as Director of Banking and Finance for the State of Nebraska for four years from 1987 to 1991. 

From 1991 to 1998, Ms. Milligan was President and CEO of CMA, a consulting firm for financial institutions. 

Ms. Milligan was named Dean of the College of Business Administration of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1998 and served in this capacity until her retirement in 2010.
