Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences
The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) in Beijing, China has hosted Borlaug-Ruan International Interns since 2002.
Established in 1957, CAAS strives to solve fundamental and strategic technological issues in agriculture and rural economic development.
CAAS carries out research and development agriculture, natural sciences, engineering and management science.
Interns at CAAS work alongside renowned international researchers and experts in CAAS's research labs in Beijing.
Interns also have the opportunity to explore Beijing with new friends and colleagues to see the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Palace Museum, Teracotta soldiers, the silk markets, the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace and the Olympic Stadium.
