
MS Swaminathan Research Foundation
The M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) in Chennai, India has hosted Borlaug-Ruan International Interns since 1999.
Established in 1988, MSSRF is a community-focused, science-driven and interdisciplinary research institution dedicated to sustainable rural development.

Interns at the MSSRF work alongside renowned international researchers and experts in the fields and villages of India.
Interns also have the opportunity to travel around Chennai and India with their new friends and colleagues to visit the Brihadishwara temple, Marina Beach, participate in a Rathotsava festival, the Government Museum of Chennai, Victoria Public Hall and watch a traditional Bharatanatym dance performance.
