With the population projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050—a mere 25 years from then—the challenge to feed the world is urgent and demanded investment in cutting-edge agricultural research, scalable innovations and cross-sector collaboration. The weight of this moment underscored our theme: A Root Awakening. It was a call to action and a stark reality that we were not ready—unless bold measures were taken to accelerate agricultural advancements and enhance nutrition security for all.
