Sara Boettiger

Dr. Sara Boettiger is an economist and advisor in corporate sustainability, global agriculture, and food security. Previously she has served as Global Head of Public Affairs, Science & Sustainability at Bayer Crop Science; Deputy Director at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; co-led the McKinsey Center for Agricultural Transformation; was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Councils; taught economics at UC Berkeley; was a faculty fellow at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society; and served as Chair of the CIMMYT Board of Directors. In addition to her private sector work, she has advised 40+ national governments on climate, trade and agricultural policies. Currently, she serves on the Advisory Committee of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, on the Board of the Global Institute for Food Security Advisory, and advises a range of companies, investors and foundations in food and agriculture.
