As the founder and CEO of Boomitra, Moorthy has leveraged AI, satellite technology and remote sensing to develop a new method of measuring soil carbon sequestration, allowing farmers to increase soil fertility, enhance food security and access life-changing financial incentives without expensive soil sampling. Under his leadership, Boomitra has scaled across 4 continents, impacting more than 5 million acres and 150,000 farmers, including smallholders in the Global South. This gigaton-scale work is driving climate resilience and rural economic empowerment. By making carbon markets financially viable and accessible, Moorthy is transforming agriculture into a solution for climate change, biodiversity restoration, and rural prosperity.
