World Food Prize Foundation DialogueNEXT
September 8-9, 2025
ICAR | New Delhi, India
The World Food Prize Foundation, in collaboration with CIMMYT, Borlaug Institute for South Asia and Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) will convene DialogueNEXT on September 8-9, 2025, at the ICAR Convention Center in New Delhi, India.
The theme Take it to the Farmer draws inspiration from Dr. Norman E. Borlaug’s enduring call to focus global attention on those who serve as the backbone of agriculture. These five words continue to echo across fields, laboratories and policy halls—reminding us that the future of food must be sown in partnership with the hands that harvest it.
With a central focus on farmers, DialogueNEXT will explore frontier innovations in agri-tech, climate- and water-smart practices, youth leadership and nutritious food systems. Most critically, farmers themselves will serve as central storytellers—ensuring that conversations are aimed at practical, impactful results.
Held on the occasion of World Agriculture Day, DialogueNEXT will shine a global spotlight on those who feed the world. The event celebrates India’s powerful legacy of agricultural innovation, honors Indian World Food Prize Laureates and showcases the country’s leadership in global food systems. Through this gathering, stakeholders across science, policy, business and civil society will come together to advance a farmer-first agenda and deepen cross-sector collaboration—laying essential groundwork for action-oriented outcomes.
This event is a part of the DialogueNEXT series tracing Dr. Borlaug’s international footsteps and revisiting landmarks preserving his legacy. In this journey, food security leaders draw inspiration from his experiences while navigating contemporary global challenges. The series propels meaningful DIALOGUE that leads us to critical NEXT steps in alleviating hunger and transforming food systems worldwide, setting the stage for pivotal conversations at the annual Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue in Des Moines, Iowa, on October 21-23, 2025.
