Sydney Maras
Senior Manager I, Communications
Sydney Maras joined in the World Food Prize Foundation in February 2025. In her role as Senior Manager I, Communications, Sydney develops strategic social media plans, analyzes performance metrics, develops impactful web content and serves as an executive assistant to the Foundation's president and CEO.
In 2018, Sydney served as a George Washington Carver Intern at the World Food Prize Foundation, allowing her to gain a deeper understanding of global food insecurity issues and interact with experts across agricultural industries.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Sydney worked at the Iowa Medical Society as a Communications Manager where she launched and produced a monthly podcast, coordinated various branded campaigns and designed all digital and print materials for the organization. Spending six years in this role, Sydney brings diverse knowledge to the Foundation.
Sydney graduated from Iowa State University in 2019 with a Bacheler's degree in Graphic Design. She received her Master's in Strategic Communication from University of Iowa in 2024.
