2025 Inspiring the Next Generation Award
Padmaja Ravula
Padmaja Ravula received the 2025 Inspiring the Next Generation Award for the transformative impact of her work at the International Crop Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) as a host institution for the Foundation's Borlaug-Ruan International Interns for more than 15 years. Her efforts have been pivotal in inspiring future generations of scientists, farmers and leaders in agriculture and food security. Her innovative ideas and unwavering commitment to educating and empowering emerging leaders truly make a difference.
Ravula is a Principal Scientist at ICRISAT and serves the the Cluster Leader for Gender and Youth, Knowledge and Capacity Development. She holds a a PhD in humanities and social sciences, specializing in sociology, and a master's degree in human development and family studies. She works at the nexus of gender and agriculture sciences.
