Grace Tiwari

Next Generation Agriculture Impact Network Ambassador and Student, Pennsylvania State University

Grace Tiwari is a doctoral student pursuing a dual-titled PhD in Entomology and International Agriculture and Development at the Pennsylvania State University. Her research in Dr. Heather Grab's Applied Systems Ecology Lab focuses on developing innovative decision support tools that use artificial intelligence and machine learning to manage critical crop pests, including fall armyworm and corn earworm.

As a Next Generation Agriculture Impact Network (NGIN) Ambassador, Grace brings a global perspective shaped by her experiences from Nepal to the United States. Her previous work experiences at national and international organizations including Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and American Farmland Trust (AFT) has given her practical insight into sustainable agriculture implementation across different scales.

Grace regularly presents her research findings to diverse audiences, from scientific peers to farmers, at conferences and extension meetings. She focuses on integrating advance research into agricultural development through practical applications of agroecology and ecosystem services. Her work bridges scientific innovation with farmer-focused solutions to advance global food security and biodiversity conservation.
