Mike Graham

Head of Plant Breeding, Bayer Crop Sciences

Michael (Mike) Graham is the Head of Plant Breeding for the Crop Science division of Bayer. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, he oversees the plant genetics and breeding program, leading a global team to develop seed with better genetics for farmers.

Mike is a third-generation plant scientist discovering new ways to increase agricultural productivity through plant breeding innovations. He earned his Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Master of Science in Plant Breeding from University of Delaware, and Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from University of Minnesota. 

Mike joined to Bayer Crop Science in 2018 after working at Monsanto for 25 years. Throughout his 25-year tenure at Monsanto, he held several roles in the Plant Breeding and Biotechnology organizations, starting as a corn breeder and ultimately taking on executive positions including Head of Global Breeding.
