Hon. Mark Green

Administrator, USAID

Mark Green was sworn in as administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development in August 2017. He previously served as president of the International Republican Institute. From 2011 to 2016, Green served on the Board of Directors of the Millennium Challenge Corp., a Senate-confirmed position. From 2007 to 2009, he served as the U.S. ambassador to Tanzania, overseeing major programs in the areas of global health and economic development. Prior to this, Green served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin’s 8th District. He holds a law degree from the University of Wisconsin, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, and an honorary Doctor of Science from Georgetown University.
