Thomas Laurita

Co-founder and CEO of NewLeaf Symbiotics and experienced entrepreneur, Tom has successfully founded and run 5 companies in agriculture finance and production areas. He speaks fluent Russian and lived in Moscow, Russia for 17 years, where he led Monsanto USSR for 3 years. He co-founded Vitas Company, which was an agent for Monsanto in Russia for 10 years, and continued as a consultant to Monsanto for another 11 years. Tom earned a BA magna cum laude from Brown University in 1980, an MPPM from Yale in 1988, and a PhD in Political Economy from Russian Peoples’ Friendship University in Moscow in '95.
