Lindiwe Majele Sibanda

Lindiwe Majele Sibanda is the CEO and Head of Mission of the Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN). She is an animal scientist by training and a practicing commercial beef cattle farmer. She received her BSc degree at the University of Alexandria in Egypt, and her MSc and PhD at the University of Reading in the UK. Dr. Sibanda is currently the Board Chair of the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), a member of the Montpellier Panel, and serves in the Advisory Group of the Chicago Council on Global Food Security. In 2013, she was awarded the Yara Prize for her entrepreneurial work with smallholder farmers in the African agricultural sector.
