The Youth Team at the World Food Prize Foundation engages and empowers young people across the world to address global food insecurity. The World Food Prize Foundation partners with over 30 universities to hold youth institutes, where students share their research and recommendations on how to address global food insecurity. Each semester, a highly qualified undergraduate or graduate student is chosen to assist with promoting and expanding World Food Prize youth institute programs. This intern works closely with the Youth Team and their mentor to assist with educational programming and outreach. Various duties include:

Assisting with in-state outreach for each state with a youth institute

Building relationships with teachers, students, parents, partners, advisors and other supporters

Coordinate media outreach - creating media advisories and press releases promoting the Youth Programs and interesting stories about participants

Assist with the planning and coordination of the State Youth Institutes
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have strong oral and written communication skills, a passion for addressing global food insecurity, and attention to detail.
