Please use the Iowa Events Center Directions and Parking website to plan your parking.
- If arriving at the Iowa Events Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center by driving, please park in the north parking lot on Crocker and 5th Street.
- If arriving via skywalk or Hilton Hotel, walk north and follow the signs to the Iowa Events Center.
Venue Map
The Borlaug Dialogue will take place on the top two floors of the of Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at the Iowa Events Center. Plenary sessions will take place on the fourth floor, with exhibitors and side events staged on the third floor.
Sustainability Efforts
The World Food Prize Foundation is proud to partner with the Iowa Events Center on its sustainability efforts throughout the Borlaug Dialogue. Key efforts include:
- Convention center operates on 91 percent renewable energy
- Single-use items are fully compostable
- All food that has been plated, but not consumed, is composted
- Surplus food from the buffet line is repackaged and delivered to community fridges in the Des Moines metro area
- When possible, locally-sourced food is served
- The new sidewalk at the convention center is made with 100 percent recycled materials from the previous iteration
- The venue tracks carbon emissions during the Borlaug Dialogue to provide accurate numbers that can be used in post-event carbon offset efforts
