U.S. Soybean Farmers Commit to Global Food Security through Association Development | World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH)

10/21/2021 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Virtual - https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_jXwErQpcSnO34iXesfOQQg

Associations play a critical role in facilitating the growth of agricultural value chains in developing and emerging markets. Strong agricultural associations are part of long-term strategies for farmers to facilitate ongoing dialogue with other value chain actors and ultimately build lasting demand for their products. Being housed in the 100-year-old American Soybean Association, the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) knows the value of associations first-hand. WISHH has worked to build the capacity of poultry value chain associations in Ghana and to support the development of the Cambodia Aquaculturist Association, and has seen the value strong associations can provide to agricultural sectors across the globe. This panel includes speakers from international associations who will describe how their associations work within their industry to ultimately improve food security and increase the availability of affordable protein in their countries. U.S. soybean farmers strongly support association development as a tool to advance global food security and will share more about their efforts on this panel.
