Mind The Gap: Connecting Research with Innovation for Economic Development
This side event is inspired by dialogue between UK and USA universities and research organisations engaged with partners around the world in international development. Research co-design and co-delivery with impact partners can offer innovative solutions to the big global challenges of food supply, resource demand and economic development. Innovation develops through the knowledge chain – which spans from basic and applied research to testing innovation approaches on the ground and implementation and training for impact at scale. The panel of speakers will present and discuss their experience in working with partners internationally on bridging the gap between research and practical innovation with impact.
