Description -  Note: This breakfast and panel discussion is a continuation of the event on SDG 2 in the global context, hosted by FAO in collaboration with the Alliance to End Hunger on Wednesday. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to register for both events.

The SDG’s will be the single most important policy framework for development driving government and their development partners in the coming 15 years. Ambitious targets have been set under SDG 2, such as eradicating hunger, increasing access to nutritious foods, and promoting sustainable food production systems. The side event organized by the Alliance to End Hunger, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), will bring together leaders and practitioners from government, multilateral organizations, civil society, and the private sector. This is an opportunity to discuss the relevance of this new development framework, and what its universal nature means for implementation and ending hunger in the United States.

Moderator: David Beckmann, World Food Prize laureate and President of the Alliance to End Hunger and Bread for the World.

  • Kori Reed, Vice President of Cause and Foundation, ConAgra Foods
