Description: Join USDA McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and USAID Office of Education for a discussion on school feeding programs and an innovative interagency collaboration that seeks to further the achievements in access to quality education and improved literacy, food security, and nutrition – especially for girls.  This panel will convene seven years after U.S. Senators Robert Dole and George McGovern received the World Food Prize for their global commitment to school feeding, improved school attendance and nutrition.  Christie Vilsack (USAID Senior Advisor for International Education and First Lady of Iowa, 1999-2007) will moderate a panel of presenters that includes implementing partners and experts on school feeding and education.
