The World Food Prize Foundation announced today that Zach Clemens has joined its staff as Senior Manager I, Communications.
“Zach’s diverse communications experience and passion for global food security aligns with the mission and needs of the World Food Prize Foundation,” said Mashal Husain, President, World Food Prize Foundation. “We are excited to welcome Zach to our team. His prior experience and dedication will be invaluable in furthering the Foundation’s mission.”
As Senior Manager I, Communications, Mr. Clemens will work closely with the Senior Director of Strategic Communications and the communications department to foster media relations and outreach and write long-form materials. He will utilize his experience to enhance the Foundation’s connections with local and global audiences, allowing for increased communication of vital information surrounding world hunger.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Clemens worked for Iowa State University as a Communications Specialist. In this role, he led communications efforts for the departments of electrical and computer engineering and materials science and engineering and partnered with agricultural experts to communicate vital information to crop producers. Before joining the communications department at Iowa State University, Mr. Clemens worked at Mid-America Publishing in Central Iowa as a Regional News Editor, and later, as Lead Reporter and Managing Editor of the Estes Park Trail-Gazette in Colorado. This range of experience across all facets of communications will serve the Foundation as we continue to address global food security issues.
Mr. Clemens graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 with bachelor's degrees in Journalism and History.
