World Food Prize Announces Opening of the Annual Exhibit Space Application Process

The World Food Prize Foundation has announced the opening of the annual exhibit space application process for the 2019 Iowa Hunger Summit and Borlaug Dialogue International Symposium. 

The Foundation invites organizations and initiatives to apply for an exhibit space for the opportunity to present to over 2,000 attendees at these two prestigious events. 

The annual Iowa Hunger Summit strives to provide an opportunity for over 500 attendees to engage with organizations working and serving communities across the state of Iowa and offers participants tangible tools for further engagement locally and around the world.

Spanning over a three-day period, the Borlaug Dialogue International Symposium welcomes over 1,200 people from 60 to 65 countries each year. This conference fosters conversation on the current state of food security and agriculture. The theme for the 2019 Borlaug Dialogue is, "Pax Agricultura: Peace Through Agriculture," will address the intersectional issues of food security, conflict and development.

About the World Food Prize: The World Food Prize is an international award that honors individuals who have improved the quality, quantity, or availability of food world-wide. The Prize was founded by Dr. Norman E. Borlaug, recipient of the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize, for his work that contributed to increases in agricultural outputs which was termed the Green Revolution. Since then, the Prize has been awarded to  48 worthy individuals during the Norman E. Borlaug International Symposium. The Symposium, also known as the Borlaug Dialogue, is a week of events dedicated to an issue surrounding food insecurity or hunger each year.
