2009 Laureate Gebisa Ejeta to Speak at Clinton School

The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public  Service will welcome Dr. Gebisa Ejeta, 2009 World Food Prize Laureate, as a speaker on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at Noon in Sturgis Hall.

Dr. Ejeta developed a grain hybrid that is resistant to drought and the Striga weed, dramatically increasing the production and availability of one of the world’s five principal grains and enhancing the food supply of hundreds of millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa. He will give a lecture titled, "Global Food Security is Humanities Grandest Challenge of the 21stCentury."
