January 5, 2009 - Ambassador Kenneth M. Quinn, president of The World Food Prize Foundation, was the keynote speaker at Iowa State University's fall commencement on December 20, 2008.
Ambassador Quinn encouraged the graduating students to carry their experiences at Iowa State with them as they continue on their "awesome journey" through life. Ambassador Quinn's remarks as prepared for delivery can be read here
Prior to speaking to the nearly 1200 graduating students, Ambassador Quinn received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Iowa State "in recognition of his public leadership and humanitarian service to the state, nation and world spanning four decades."
