March 31, 2010 - - March 31, 2010 - - The U.S. Department of State's recently released eJournal USA: 21st-Century Agriculture is a special report focusing on "how 21st-century technical prowess and agricultural skill hold the key to feeding the growing populations of the future."

With interviews with 2005 World Food Prize Laureate Modadugu Gupta and 2007 World Food Prize Laureate Philip Nelson, the journal focuses extensively on how recent recipients of the World Food Prize are at the forefront of finding solutions to "humanity's longest struggle" - the ability to adequately feed the global population.

The journal also includes a feature on "The Borlaug Legacy: A New Paradigm for Agricultural Research" by Roger Beachy, director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
