2022 World Food Prize Laureate to Discuss the Future of Food and Climate During "Live with the Laureate"

2022 World Food Prize Laureate, Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig, and renowned environmental journalist, Andrew Revkin, will join the World Food Prize Foundation (WFPF) for a 45-minute “Live with the Laureate” Digital Dialogue on May 26, 2022. 

Dr. Rosenzweig, who will receive the $250,000 World Food Prize in an award ceremony on October 20, 2022, was recently announced as the Laureate for her seminal contributions in understanding and predicting the interconnected nature of climate change and food systems. Through designing and leading rigorous, collaborative observational and modeling research, she provides the evidence used by thousands of decision-makers in more than 90 countries to both mitigate and adapt to climate change in local, national and global food systems. She is a Senior Research Scientist at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies and adjunct faculty at the Columbia Climate School.

Andrew Revkin, one of America’s most honored and experienced environmental journalists, will interview Dr. Rosenzweig. He has covered a wide range of subjects in his decades of experience, including climate change and human sustainability. Revkin has contributed to the National Geographic Society, ProPublica, the New York Times and is most recently the founding director of the Initiative on Communication and Sustainability at the Earth Institute of Columbia University.
