This year's online Youth Institute will gather students, teachers, and experts from across New York to discuss the most pressing issues we face in fighting hunger at home and abroad. We will connect virtually through the Zoom video conferencing platform.

Roundtable Experts and Student Presenters will introduce themselves and get to know each other before starting the student presentations. - 10:30 - 11:45 am | Student Presentations & Discussion
Each student will have 3 minutes to present their paper, with 5 minutes of comments and questions about their presentation from the Experts and other students. After all students have presented, the group will engage in a discussion focused on takeaways from the presentations.

2001 World Food Prize Laureate and esteemed economist Per Pinstrup-Andersen's keynote presentation will focus on the ways we conceptualize food systems, and what we can do to protect and improve food systems around the world! This is a special opportunity to learn from an interact with a global leader in food security.

Each participant has been pre-assigned 2 interactive tracks they will participate in for the hour. Each track will be 30 minutes long with a 5 minute transition time to the next pre-assigned track.

During this group discussion, we want to hear from you! This Fall, the United Nations will host the UN Food Systems Summit, and leaders from around the world want to hear your ideas about how we can improve food systems around the world.
Food Systems Summit Dialogues offer a powerful opportunity for people everywhere to have a seat at the table at this milestone UN Summit. Dialogues bring together a diversity of stakeholders, including voices that are seldom heard, and provide an important opportunity for participants to debate, collaborate, and take action towards a better future. They give us the chance to connect, meet new partners, inspire and be inspired.
The 2021 New York Youth Institute is an official Independent Dialogue of the UN Food Systems Summit. This means that your feedback will be provided to world leaders as the consider the most pressing issues to put on the agenda for the upcoming Summit.
