S.M. Sehgal Foundation

The S.M. Sehgal Foundation (formerly known as IRRAD) in Gurugram, India, has hosted Borlaug-Ruan International Interns since 2011.

Established in 1999, the S.M. Sehgal Foundation's mission is to strengthen community-led development initiatives to achieve positive social, economic and environmental change across rural India. They envision every person across rural India empowered to lead a more secure, prosperous, and dignified life.

The Foundation carries out research and development in capacity building, natural resources management, rural research, policy and governance.

Interns at the S.M. Sehgal Foundation work alongside renowned international researchers and experts in the fields and villages of India.

Interns also have the opportunity to to travel around New Delhi and India with their new friends and colleagues to see the Kingdom of Dreams theatre, Damdama lake, Sheetali Devi Temple, Leisure Valley Park, the Aravali Mountains and the Sultanpur National Park.
