Corn and Soybean Farm Tours

PURCHASE TICKET
The World Food Prize Foundation is excited to offer tours of corn and soybean farms in Central Iowa. Each tour will be three hours long and visit both a corn and soybean farm. Tours will depart from and return to the Hilton Des Moines Downtown, adjacent to the Iowa Events Center.

Meet the Farmers

Will Cannon | Colfax, Iowa
Will Cannon has been producing corn, soybeans, forages and cereal rye for more than 20 years in Jasper County. His passion for conservation is evident throughout his operation, where he practices no-till, strip till and cover crops. He also worked for Ag Leader Technology in tech support and product development for ten years. Will currently serves as a Director for the Iowa Corn Growers Association, representing District 5, and as Chair of the Research & Business Development Committee. He is a graduate of the Iowa Corn I-LEAD Class 4 and has hosted the World Pork Expo International Dinner for multiple years. He is also active with the Iowa Soybean Association and previously served on the Jasper County Farm Bureau Board. Outside of agriculture, he is a member of City Church of Ames in the Des Moines area. Located just 20 minutes from Des Moines, Will takes seriously his role as an ambassador for farming in his community. He is committed to sharing his knowledge and passion for agriculture to make a lasting difference in the industry. Will and his wife Cassie are raising two children, Oliver and Case, who he hopes will have the opportunity to enjoy the farm lifestyle.

Corey Goodhue | Carlisle, Iowa
Corey Goodhue grows soybeans, corn, green freezer-pack peas, potatoes, rye, trees and wine grapes on his family’s farm near Carlisle and serves as District 5 Director for the Iowa Soybean Association. A fourth-generation farmer, Goodhue earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University. He has served as Secretary of the Agriland FS Board of Directors and as the Vice President of its foundation committee. He also serves on the board of directors for Growmark.

Morey Hill | Madrid, Iowa
Morey Hill grows soybeans and corn on his family farm near Madrid, Iowa. He currently serves on the American Soybean Association Board of Directors and as chair of the World Institute for Soy in Human Health. Outside of ASA, Hill has also held several leadership positions with the Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Farm Bureau and Iowa Veterans in Agriculture. Hill graduated from Iowa State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies. He began farming part-time when he returned home from the Army in 1975 and made it his full-time job in 2005.
