Natalie Bidner

Program Manager II, International Dialogues

Natalie Bidner joined the World Food Prize Foundation in June of 2021. In her role as Program Manager II, International Dialogues, Natalie coordinates and administers the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, an annual symposium that brings together global leaders to discuss the importance of collective action to address food security and nutrition. Natalie also manages the Laureate Announcement in Washington DC and other programming throughout the year.

Prior to joining the World Food Prize Foundation, Natalie was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University where she assisted professors in classroom instruction. She was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award in 2020 and the James A. Socknat Memorial Scholarship in 2019 for her work at the university. During her studies, she lived in Brussels and New Delhi interning with the State Department and Sehgal Foundation to strengthen ties between agriculture and policy. She also interned with BASF Agricultural Solutions, the University of Illinois Small Grains Improvement Lab and the University of Illinois Illinois Sustainable Technology Center.

Previously, Natalie served as the World President for the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS). In this position, Natalie led over fifty member countries in organizing global projects for Women in Agriculture, No Food Waste and Good Governance. Additionally, she organized and actively led events across seven countries, ensuring they all met organization-wide objectives. 

Natalie graduated from Iowa State University in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Public Policy. In 2018, she received dual degrees in Global Resource Systems and Political Science with a minor in Agronomy from Iowa State University.
