Marco Ferroni

Marco Ferroni is passionate about international agriculture, sustainable development and the geopolitics of food. From 2007 to 2017 he was Executive Director of the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture, a product and solutions incubator for farm sectors in low-income countries and Emerging Markets. Currently he advises clients on strategic choice as a member of advisory councils and boards. He chairs the CGIAR’s System Management Board, held managerial and senior advisory positions at the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank in Washington DC, has a doctorate in agricultural economics from Cornell University and recently completed terms as an Adjunct Professor in agriculture and environmental sciences at McGill University.
