Senior Editor at Devex

Tania Karas is a senior editor at Devex, where she manages coverage of food systems — from the Rome-based U.N. food agencies to famine to agricultural innovation. She also co-writes Dish, a weekly newsletter on food systems transformation, and edits stories on the changing face of U.S. foreign aid.

Prior to joining Devex in 2021, Tania was a freelance reporter covering immigration, refugees and global migration policy in Turkey, Lebanon and the U.S. southern border.

She has a master’s in international human rights law from the University of Oxford and is based in Athens, Greece.
