2023 Inspiring the Next Generation Award: Matilda Ouma

Matilda Ouma received the 2023 Inspiring the Next Generation Award for her work mentoring international scientists at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology in Nairobi, Kenya, as well as her extensive research into food security and sustainable agriculture. Ouma is a professor at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Nairobi. She was presented the award at the World Food Prize Laureate Award Ceremony by Jeanie Borlaug-Laube, Chair of the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative and daughter of Norman Borlaug.
