As Chief Executive Officer of Pivot Bio, Chris is focused on increasing farmer profitability and resilience while driving significant improvements in the environmental sustainability of the agriculture supply chain by replacing synthetic fertilizers with new crop nutrition technologies.

Chris has invested in and helped build companies across the ag and food value chain—from on-farm biological and digital solutions to midstream processing and logistics, down to food ingredient and brand manufacturers. With a strong focus on agriculture, fertilizer efficiency and agtech, along with deep industry relationships and capital market expertise, he has served as an investor and advisor to dozens of sustainable technology companies.

Before joining Pivot Bio in 2023, Chris was Co-Head of Continental Grain’s Conti Ventures, where he helped build a diversified global investment portfolio in food and agribusiness. He began his career in agriculture on Wall Street, working at Piper Jaffray & Co., EcoAlpha Asset Management and Craig-Hallum Capital Group.

A committed advocate for youth programs, Chris serves on the board of InnerCity Tennis. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
