Title: The Zero Hunger SDG: The Role of Communities in Driving Action, Accountability and Impact

Start and end time: Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Location: Des Moines Marriot, Council Bluffs Room

Description – Goal #2 of the Sustainable Development Goals has been named the Zero Hunger Goal. Creating a world free from hunger where every man, woman and child is able to enjoy sufficient and nutritious food, is central to this charge. The SDGs are meant to leave no one behind, but if communities are not given the opportunity to inform, plan and participate in country-level efforts, impact to end hunger and malnutrition, and eliminate poverty will be limited. We look forward to your participation in a discussion about the community perspective and role in strengthening community-driven efforts to end hunger.

Organization name: Community for Zero Hunger, Humanitas Global and The Hunger Project
