July 14, 2008 - - World Food Prize Laureates are among the global leaders working to address and confront world hunger. As food prices rise and insecurity spreads around the world, the Laureates are working to find solutions to the growing problem.

As such, The Des Moines Register asked four previous World Food Prize Laureates - Hans Herren (1995, Switzerland), Per Pinstrup-Andersen (2001, Denmark), Pedro Sanchez (2002, United States) and Catherine Bertini (2003, United States) - to share their perspectives and recommendations on how to address the current global food crisis.
