Chef Sanjeev Kapoor is a renowned culinary innovator and humanitarian, using his influence to combat malnutrition and promote sustainable nutrition across India. Through his partnership with HarvestPlus Solutions on the Nutri-Pathshala initiative, he has helped deliver over 2.5 million biofortified, nutrient-rich meals to more than 150,000 schoolchildren in rural states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand. His work focuses on integrating iron-rich pearl millet and zinc-rich wheat into school meals while promoting nutrition literacy and healthier eating habits. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he partnered with World Central Kitchen and Taj Hotels to serve over 1.26 million meals to frontline workers. A long-time supporter of Akshaya Patra, he helps provide mid-day meals to over 2.2 million children daily. As India’s Ambassador for the UN Clean Cooking Initiative, he also champions sustainable cooking technologies. Chef Kapoor’s leadership bridges food innovation with social impact, making him a powerful advocate for nutrition security and food system transformation.
