Doreen Irungu is a pioneering agritech entrepreneur and the founder of Ustawi Afrika. Growing up in rural Kenya, she witnessed her mother and other women farm without land ownership, inspiring her to create a solution to empower female farmers. With over 15 years in women empowerment and a diploma in Women Leadership, Doreen founded Ustawi Afrika to provide rural women with training, technology, and access to markets. Her work has earned her the 2021 and 2023 Women in Africa Laureate Awards, and she continues to champion sustainable agriculture and gender equity in Africa's farming communities.
