Lindiwe Majele Sibanda

Dr. Lindiwe Majele Sibanda is Chair of the CGIAR System Board; is a serving Non-Executive Member of the Nestlé Board; and, Chair of Council, for the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe and Extra ordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria.
She is also a serving member of the SDG 12.3 Champions working to accelerate progress towards reducing food loss and waste by 2030; and an SDG GOALKEEPER, dedicated to accelerating progress towards the global sustainable goals, from grassroots to global level. She has served in programme advisory and governance positions across five CGIAR centers. She is a Jury member for the Food Planet Prize. Lindiwe is an animal scientist and a practicing farmer, serving as a policy advisor to numerous African governments and global institutions. She holds a PhD and master's degrees from the University of Reading, U.K. and BSc from the University of Alexandria in Egypt.
