Maria Emilia ‘Emi’ Macor
Farmer, Youth Leader in Ag; Global Farmer Network

Emilia 'Emi' Macor is a young farmer and agronomist, involved in several institutions in Argentina: Vice President of Aapresid Joven, a member of MAIZAR Joven, and a member of the Global Farmer Network. She often says, "Being farmers is not just harvesting grains. It is producing food, fiber and energy in a sustainable way; taking care of our main resource: the soil."
She is very committed to the sustainability of agriculture and with her youth transmits the passion and commitment of this activity for the well-being of global humanity. She is very active in social/digital media and she loves and trusts digitalization to improve the production systems. She is a great leader in different institutions and her youth is inspiring.
Emi works with her parents, Gustavo and Vanesa in the fields growing soybeans, corn and wheat on 400 ha in fields located in the south of Córdoba province. They use sustainable production techniques such as no-till farming, ecosystem services crops, precision agriculture and recovery of non-productive environments.
