Ganesh Bahadur Bista
Cooperative Manager, Biodiversity Conservation Agriculture Cooperative

Ganesh Bahadur Bista is one of the custodian farmers and practitioners of community-led agrobiodiversity conservation in Nepal. He has been working as a cooperative manager at Biodiversity Conservation Agriculture Cooperative, Doti, Nepal also known as Ghanteshwor Community Seed Bank for more than a decade. His community seed bank is conserving more than 73 landraces of 27 crops. He also led on farmers' varietal registration of Jorayal Basmati, a local landrace of Doti. He is a facilitator and trainer of on-farm agrobiodiversity conservation and community seed banking. He is a long campaigner and activist on farmer's rights and sustainable agriculture.
