Dr. Roy Steiner is currently the Senior Vice President, Food Initiative at the Rockefeller Foundation leading multi-year initiatives to advance a more nourishing and sustainable food system. Previously he was a Senior Director at the Omidyar Network where he worked across strategic initiatives and with the board to build a best in class learning organization. Roy also served for nearly a decade at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he was the Deputy Director and Founding Member of the Agricultural Development Initiative in the foundation’s Global Development Program. Roy has founded three companies and lived for 8 years in Zimbabwe. He has degrees in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Cornell University and MIT
