Mai Thin Yu Mon

UNFSS Action Track 4 Youth Vice-Chair

Mai Thin Yu Mon is a young indigenous rights activist and advocate from Chin Community in Myanmar. She is currently serving as a Program Director of Indigenous Peoples Development Program of Chin Human Rights Organization and an Asia focal person for Global Indigenous Youth Caucus since 2016. She has been working with indigenous communities in Myanmar and Asia for the past several years, being a part of establishing and strengthening platforms for indigenous youths and indigenous women across Asia while serving as a youth representative to the Executive Council of Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) . Mai Thin Yu Mon is a Food Systems Champion of the UN Food Systems Summit and a Youth Vice-Chair of Action Track 4 in the UN FSS 2021. Under her mandate, she has been strongly advocating for inclusive transformation of the food systems, to ensure leaving no youth, women and indigenous communities left behind.
