Mindy Van Woerkom-Jones joined the World Food Prize Foundation in June of 2021 as Senior Executive Assistant to the President.
In this position, Mindy manages and oversees President Stinson’s schedule, correspondence and executive engagements, while advancing critical administrative procedures and special projects.
Before joining the Foundation, Mindy worked at Principal Financial Group as a Senior Administrative Assistant. In this position, she managed her team’s schedule while leading various special projects for the Head Business Partner of Global Human Resources.
Previously, Mindy served as a scheduler in the House of Representatives. She has also worked in various policy and administrative roles for Iowa Senator Tom Harkin and the Iowa Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.
In 2008, Mindy graduated from Central College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science.
