Empowering Women Entrepreneurs and Reaching Women Farmers: Gender-Inclusive Last Mile Agent Model | Catholic Relief Services
CRS’ Private Agriculture Service Providers (PASP) model makes it easier for male and female ‘last mile’ agents to reach those who are often missed with agricultural inputs and extension services, especially women. The model supported women entrepreneurs to become agro-dealers and expand their clientele. Eighty-one percent of PASPs say they customized their approach so they could better sell inputs and services to women; of which 92% of them said it led to an increase in purchases from women. Hear from those on the ground what it took to achieve this change and how this model can be scaled.
