Board for International Food and Agriculture (BIFAD) U.S. Benefits Study Launch & 2019 BIFAD Awards Presentation
The Board will be presenting a commissioned study on "How the United States Benefits from Agricultural and Food Security Investments in Developing Countries." The session will include overviews of key findings, as well as an introduction from the Administrator of USAID, Mark Green, and the Director of IFPRI, Shenggan Fan.
In the latter half of the session, the Chair of the BIFAD and Chair of the BIFAD Awards Committee will be presenting the 2019 Awards for Scientific Excellence in a Feed the Future Innovation Lab to this year’s recipients. The awards recognize individual researchers and/or research teams for significant achievements originating from work performed under the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) funded Feed the Future Innovation Labs. Two awards are given annually: one for an individual researcher or a team of researchers and one for a student researcher.
