Director of National Education Programs
Libby Crimmings joined the World Food Prize Foundation in 2014 as the National Education Programs Director. She is responsible for expanding the youth education programs across the country, developing strategic partnerships and new opportunities to engage and inspire the next generation of young scientific and humanitarian leaders in the global effort to end hunger and poverty.
Prior to her position at the World Food Prize, Libby was the Midwest Regional Field Director for the ONE Campaign for seven years, leading advocacy initiatives to fight extreme poverty and hunger worldwide. She has extensive experience as a community organizer, educator, and artist creatively engaging, educating and mobilizing diverse groups across the country around social, political and economic issues. She also served as the Legislative Assistant to State Senator Bob Dvorsky of Coralville, IA for the 2014 legislative session and has previously worked on youth led anti-tobacco campaigns across the country.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Design with an emphasis in Advertising from Iowa State University, studied Art Direction at an advertising school, Brainco, in Minneapolis and holds a certificate in Art Therapy from Grand View University.
