Senior Director, International Dialogues
Victoria Chia joined the World Food Prize Foundation in May of 2021 as Senior Director, International Dialogues. In this role, Victoria is responsible for the coordination and implementation of major programs and activities directly related to World Food Prize Foundation events, including the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue and the Digital Dialogues.
Victoria graduated from Harvard University in 2019 with a Master’s in Public Administration and a certificate in Management, Leadership and Decision Sciences; from Columbia University in 2002 with a Master’s in International Affairs, concentrating in Economic and Political Development; and from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations & Political Science and a certificate in International Business.
Prior to her position at the World Food Prize Foundation, Victoria served as Program Officer of the International Medical Corps, where she was responsible for coordinating the implementation and funding of multiple programs in developing countries such as Zimbabwe and Burundi. She has an extensive background in managing and organizing international projects and teams, previously holding officer positions at the United Nations and the US Department of State. She also organized the flagship conference in Asia for several years for U.S. Indo-Command as an International Project Director.
Victoria received the Lucius N. Littauer Fellows Award in 2019 for both her academic excellence and her contributions to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government community. Additionally, the US Department of State presented her with the Franklin Award in 2011.
